British Prime Minister Boris Johnson survives vote of no confidence in Parliament
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson won a confidence vote on Monday, overcoming a challenge to his leadership from lawmakers from within the ruling
Conservative Party.
Johnson received 211 votes to 148, according to Graham Brady, chair of the party committee that oversaw the ballot.
The British Conservative Party had begun a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who addressed Parliament before the vote of no confidence in him began.
In his letter to the Conservatives, Johnson indicated that he could be trusted to offer "bold and innovative" solutions to difficult and long-term problems and he had already demonstrated this before.
